Look carefully at the control panel, they are pasting a different one on the PIC!!! 3000 square foot coverage? How the heck does it  work through walls?!!! (It can't!) That LIE alone should tell you something is very wrong here. This will kill almost no bacteria, nor will it remove ANY dust from your home. They say they are selling out of these machines. Old style ozone "plates" may create large amounts of Nitrogen Oxides which are offensive, irritating, and dangerous. Air-Zone's patented ozone elements are in a permanently molded housing, that require NO adjustment whatsoever.  They also don't produce dangerous Nitrogen Oxides.   Air-Zone® uses 24 carat gold plating in our United States Patented ozone elements to help prevent corrosion. We also use high temperature, shatter resistant, tempered glass in our innovative ozone elements. Old style ozone "plates" consist of flimsy, easily corroded, steel screens and delicate, thin pieces of glass or mica, less than a millimeter thick. They must ALWAYS be kept perfect alignment or there is a chance that screens will touch and the transformer will short out and become a fire hazard. We do not use MICA ozone plates in our ozone generators. As shown in the diagram above, simple Oxygen molecules known as O2, can be turned into Ozone, O3, by the introduction of the high voltage electrical charge given by an Air-Zone Ozone Generator.

Ozone is considered an unstable gas, meaning it cannot exist for more than a very short time.

Very soon after it is formed, nature forces the third oxygen atom of Ozone to break free, and oxidize bacteria, viruses and pollutants.

Bacteria, viruses, and mold are all destroyed by this process.

All that remains after reactions with ozone are the harmless compounds of pure oxygen (O2), carbon dioxide (CO2), and hydrogen (H2).

The introduction of low levels of ozone leads to cleaner air to breathe.

Ozone can be used at very low levels for air purification, and at very high levels to perform
High Ozone Shock Treatments that kill viruses, bacteria, mold, and other germs. 

All of these Ebay purifiers claim to clean the air in areas from 600 to 2500 sq. ft.
Unfortunately these square footage ratings have absolutely NO basis in scientific fact!

With a ozone outputs of less than 5 mg.hr., these units barely have any true air purification qualities at all.

A High Ozone Shock Treatment is a very high level of ozone that is far above the level of ozone than we can normally breathe.  These high levels of ozone are the ONLY way to sanitize rooms of bacteria and mold.  Air purification levels of ozone can only kill about 5% of the bacteria and mold present in a room.

Air-Zone units can perform High Ozone Shock Treatments that are very effective for killing mold and bacteria.
High ozone treatments are also the way to remove, rather than cover up,  stubborn odors like smoke, mold, and animal odors.
It is useful to "blow out" an unoccupied room with a large amount of ozone to kill many of the odors and germs that may be present. 

This is completely different  from the use of ozone for low level air purifying. 
Air purifying is usually done with the unit set at a very low ozone output level.

High Ozone Shock Treatments are done with the unit run at full power for a measured period of time in an unoccupied room.

A prominent university test has indicated that a 0.28ppm level of ozone is needed to kill 95% of E. coli bacteria in 120 minutes. Note that is is not a 0.28 ppm rating of an ozone generators output, but rather the ozone in the ENTIRE ROOM!

CFU = Colony Forming Units

Small ionizer units cannot perform high ozone treatments, and thus cannot truly sanitize a room from bacteria and mold like Air-Zone ozone generators  can.
Running small machines for a longer periods of time is not the same as using a more powerful machine.  This is because the ozone is constantly breaking down, and reverting back to oxygen.

After a few months walls, floors, appliances, and furniture begin to build up a black layer of dirt on them.  If you place an ionizer on a table near a wall, the wall will develop a black halo of dirt in just a couple of months.
This will not happen with a true ozone generator.

Realize that all so-called "air cleaning" ionizers do is limited to pushing around lightweight particles of dust.  They cannot possibly kill odors, bacteria, or mold. 
Mold and bacteria has been scientifically proven to be killed by ozone. 
The same cannot be said of ions.

Some ionizers claim to have plates that collect the dirt.
In truth they can only collect less than 5% of the dirt.  The other 95% of the dust, bacteria, and mold spores end up on your walls, floors, and belongings. ALL ionizers create the "Black Wall Effect".
 

The answer is it cannot be done. If in fact the ion does travel across the room, the particle it attaches itself to will adhere to the closest possible positively charged surface, that being your walls, floor, ceiling or anything else it is close to. The collector plates on the machine itself will NOT collect most of the dirt. (0-(5% of the dirt affected by the ionization will adhere to your walls, floor, ceiling, and furniture.

Ionizers can create a fresh smell. The problem is that it is only a cover up, temporary fix.
As soon as the ionizer is turned off, the effect is over. 

With an ozone generator the bacteria that is causing the odor can actually be killed so that when it is turned off the odors are vanished, not simply "covered up".

Ozone Generators can also be used to give high ozone shock treatment to unoccupied areas.

These high ozone treatments are very effective in killing  the odor producing organisms.
Once the organisms are killed by a high ozone shock treatment, or a series of shock treatments, the odor will be removed, not just covered up by the temporary effects of ionization.

High Ozone Shock Treatments are very effective for removing stubborn odors like smoke, mold, and animal odors. It is very useful to "blow out" an unoccupied room with a large amount of ozone to kill many of the odors and germs that may be present.. 

Absolutely not.  Ions cannot kill any organisms, therefore they will have no effect on mold or mold odors.

Since ionizers do no more than move dust from here to there, it is obvious they are not the solution for dust and pet dander.

For removing larger particles of dust and dander a HEPA filter is much more effective than an ionizer. HEPA filters collect the dust and dander rather than just pushing around the room as an ionizer does, so that it does not start  floating around again.  The idea is to remove the dust from your home, not simply move it from here to there. At first, when a person first smells the odor coming out of an ionizer, they are very impressed by the fresh spring like smell of the air coming out of it.  That fresh smell is what sells the product. 

Unfortunately that fresh smell is only temporary, since it lasts only until the ionizer is turned off. 
Ions have no ability to kill any organisms, and therefore no odors. 
On the other hand, ozone kills the bacteria and mold, so it removes the odor, it doesn't just cover it up.

Secondly, ionizers are very popular because they are very cheap to build, and sell for high dollar amounts. 
The leading manufacturer of ionizers sell their product on TV (you know the ones we mean).
They sell them for $350.00 or more, yet this product costs them about $35.00 to produce.

Some of the small ionizers we show on this page cost no more than $5.00 to produce.
It usually costs more to ship them from overseas tan it does to manufacture them.
