They sometimes list false specifications from 198mg.hr. to 240mg.hr. on their auctions when in truth the output of this  ozone machine is only 1.98mg.hr. (100 times less)

They also list the parts per million output at 1.0 ppm when in fact it is less than 0.1ppm (10 times less). 

The parts per million output as listed in the original owners manual, and the MANUFACTURER'S web site is 0.08ppm, NOT the 1.0ppm (10 times less) the same Ebay sellers advertise.

CLAIM -  The ReNew-Air ozone air purifier can clean up to 2200 sq. ft.

TRUTH - With an ozone output of less than 2 mg.hr. a unit can barely clean the air in a normal sized closet! The MANUFACTURER lists the cleaning range at 250sq.ft.

The recommended level of ozone for air purification is 0.05 - 0.1 parts per million.
This is NOT what a machine outputs, but what is in ALL the air in an entire room.

After 80 minutes at a distance of 12 feet the ReNew unit has only put out 0.00125 ppm of ozone into the air of a 24 foot by 24 foot room (576sq.ft.). 

CLAIM - The ReNew-Air produces a maximum output of ozone at 0.1 ppm which helps prevent ozone build-up in a house of 0.5 ppm or higher which is within the FDA and OSHA standards for ozone in an indoor environment.

We have already established that the ozone output of this machine is 0.08ppm.

If a ozone generator was placed in the center of a room 24 feet by 24 feet (576 sq.ft.) that only put out 0.1 ppm at it's output vents, there would never be more than a 0.00125ppm of increase of ozone measured anywhere in this sized room!

Ozone breaks down within 30 minutes. There would be no chance for the ambient ozone level in a room to increase since a 2mg.hr. production cannot raise the ozone level a significant amount because of ozone's natural decay.

In other words no matter how long a 2 mg.hr. unit was run, it could never catch up and increase the ozone level more than 0.00125ppm.

Claiming a unit that only puts out 2mghr can clean the air in a 2000 or 3000 square feet area has NO basis in scientific fact.

This extremely low concentration of ozone will do absolutely NO air purification at all. The plain truth is most laser copiers put out 2-10 times more ozone than this.  Is a laser copier considered an ozone generator?

Why is a high ozone output so important?

Ozone naturally decays back to oxygen in about 30 minutes.

Ozone levels below 0.01PPM cannot kill bacteria

With a true high powered ozone generator you can blast out unoccupied rooms to kill bacteria and mold.

That is not possible with an underpowered unit since they can never develop a high enough concentration of ozone.

The ReNew-Air is more powerful than the Alpine XL-15, or the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze "Compare the Renew with the Sharper Image Quadra Breeze selling for $359." 

TRUTH - The Alpine XL-15 ($800) has an ozone output of 360 milligrams per hour. The Sharper Image Ionic Breeze ($350) has three, 2 foot long ionization bars. The three holes in the center of this unit are the ion expellers. It is obvious that they are less than 1/4 inch wide. Unless they have broken the laws of Physics their claims hold no basis in scientific fact.

CLAIM -  "Ours is a PROFESSIONAL unit with a retail price of $395."

TRUTH - Professional?   $395?! 

The wholesale price of this air purifier is only $23.00. Even with a 100%  markup the selling price would only be $46.00. Ginfax lists the MSRP at $50.00.

Need proof? Email Ginfax ask them for the wholesale price. They will tell you the truth.

Products simply do not have markups at the ridiculous rates these sellers are claiming. NOWHERE will you find an ozone generator with such a small output (2mghr), or such a tiny ionizer for a price of $400.00.

ANY ionizer emits ozone as a by product, but that does not mean it is a true ozone generator. The plain truth is most laser copiers put out 2-10 times more ozone than this simple IONIZER!  Is a laser copier considered an ozone generator?

TRUTH - This is partially true.

Most ozone generators put out Nitrogen Oxides as a by product. 
Nitrogen Oxides  can be extremely irritating and are undesirable.
This unit has such a low ozone output that naturally it doesn't put out any Nitrogen Oxides. 

A COMPLEX ozone tube? The truth is that this  "ozone producer" is a steel wire covered by glass with an outside coating of screen in which a high voltage is induced. It is the most basic method of ozone generation that there is.  It COULD NOT be more simple! This is the basically the same technology that  Nikola Tesla used in 1896!

CLAIM - The ReNew-Air produces much higher polymers of oxygen such as O4 and O5, which subsequently break down to O3 and O2. With production of these higher forms of oxygen, a more active oxidizer is formed."

TRUTH - ANY ozone generator produces not only O3 but O4, O5, O6, O7, O8, etc.
It is simply the way that the oxygen atoms cluster. In fact there is no known way to manufacture ozone "O3" WITHOUT producing the higher forms of ozone such as O4, O5 etc. 

So while this statement is true, there is nothing special about the claim of making higher forms of ozone. ALL ozone is classified as "Activated Oxygen".

It still all comes down to how many milligrams per hour of ozone can be created.

That is the "horsepower" of any ozone generator. That is only measurement of ozone that means ANYTHING. 
Manufacturers may choose any number they like to represent a square footage rating, as there is no standard for square footage ratings.

CLAIM - "The 3-in-1 ozone generator is more than adept at killing bacteria, micro bugs, mold, mildew, dust mites and micro pathogens. "

TRUTH - This unit couldn't kill the smallest, weakest bacteria cell in an area no larger than an aquarium tank! 
There is no way in the world it could even kill the smallest bug.

CLAIM - "When examining ozone generators do yourself a favor and look at the hard data.  Our unit produces an ozone airflow rate of 4.5 cfm.  Look around - no other ozone generator in its class can offer this level of output."

TRUTH - This is beyond silly. CFM stands for cubic feet per minute which signifies air movement, it is a fan speed, NOT an ozone output!

CLAIM - " Interval Mode - The unit self regulates the amount of ozone it generates in order to offer safe ozone output.   In this mode, the unit will not produce over the international limit for safe ozone output.  This is essential in homes, offices, and restaurants.  As a result of our unique interval mode, our ozone generator will conform its ozone output to any room size.  Other ozone generators do not offer this patented "smart" technology and can produce extremely dangerous levels of ozone in small rooms.

TRUTH - That statement is 100% TOTALLY FALSE! The only way an ozone generator possibly could self regulate it's ozone output would beifit had an ozone meter built into it.  The problem is that even the cheapest ozone meter costs about $300.00. 
We sell them here, we know. The idea is also impractical. You can't measure the ozone coming out of a machine to regulate it, the ozone meter would have to be far away, in another part of the room to measure the ozone, NOT on the machine itself.
The "Interval Mode" simply turns the unit on and off in varying times. Considering how weak this unit is there would never be any reason to turn it to a lower level.

Ozone Generators and Ion Generators are similar devices. They both put out ozone and ions.
Ion generators have become popular for cleaning air and attempting to remove odors.

For purifying air and removing odors as well as killing viri, and mold true ozone generators are many more times as effective than any ionizer.

Ion Generators simply negatively charge the air's ions so that floating dust particles will cling to a surface in the room, much in the way static electricity does. 

Larger particles of dust floating in the room will stick to the wall, floor, and furnishings of any room they are in. Ion Generators also put out a very small amount of ozone as a by product of ion generation, but it is not nearly enough to be helpful. 

Ozone Generators are just that, they generate the ozone which is extremely useful for purifying the air and removing odors. Ozone is sometimes called "activated oxygen". 
It contains three atoms of oxygen, O3, rather than the two atoms we normally breath.

The life cycle of ozone is: generation, oxidation, return to oxygen. Ozone is labeled as an "unstable" gas, which means soon after it is generated the third atom of oxygen wants to break away form the other two as soon as possible. It does this by oxidation. It finds a microscopic odor causing particle, and destroys it. What left is pure oxygen O2, and the remnants of the oxidation process by the third atom which is harmless hydrogen, and CO2.

High Powered Ozone Generators can also perform High Ozone Shock Treatments in unoccupied rooms in order to sanitize the room of bacteria, and mold, as well as remove stubborn odors.

Ozone's effect can last days even weeks, Ionizers effects are over once the unit is turned off.

What's wrong with ion generators?

There are a few problems associated with ion generators. To do air cleaning, meaning removing larger particles of dust, you need a very large amount of ions. More than has been recognized as a safe level.  According to air science,  indoor air has 100 to 200 ions per cubic cm, outdoor fresh air has 200 to 500 ions per cubic cm,  and a fresh clean forest will have 1,500 to 5,000 ions per cubic cm. 

Ion generators typically produce more than 1,000,000 to 10,000,000 per cubic cm. This is simply too much. This large amount of ions are needed to push the particles to the walls and floor. In fact for ionization to be truly effective, ionizers must generate so many ions that they can cause headaches and sore throats. Our ozone generators also produce negative ions of about 10,000 to 30,000 per cubic cm which is more than enough to gain the positive benefits of negative ionization.

The problem with this is that the same dust can be kicked right back into the air. The dirt that does not begin to float again will stick to whatever surface is close. After a few months walls, floors, appliances, and furniture begin to build up a layer of dirt on them. If you put an ionizer on a table near a wall, the wall will develop a black halo of dirt in just a couple of months .

Realize that all so-called "air cleaning" ionizers do is limited to pushing around lightweight particles of dust. They cannot effectively kill odors, bacteria or mold, nor can they remove large particles such as pet dander.

Some ionizers do have collecting plates for collecting the dirt, but realize they can only collect less than 5% of the dirt. The other 95% ends up on your walls, floors, and belongings. 

Ozone Generators can also be used to give high ozone "shock treatments" to unoccupied areas. These high ozone treatments are very effective in killing odor producing organisms.
Once the organisms are killed by a high ozone shock treatment, or a series of shock treatments,
the odor will be removed, not just covered up by the temporary effects of ionization.

Even with a very high ion level of 10,000,000 per cubic cm, odors can only be covered up. Therefore a high concentration ion treatment will have little or no effect in permanently removing odors. Those high ion levels can also cause headaches and sore throats. So way before ionization can have any real effect it becomes obnoxious.

Absolutely not!  Ionizers don't kill any organisms, therefore they will have no effect on mold or mold odors. If you smell mold, you have mold. 

Medical studies have found that mold & mildew are the #1 causes of allergic symptoms.
The Black Mold Stachybotrys found in homes, offices, and schools has been linked to fatal pulmonary disorders.

It is not right to deceive an uniformed customer. These sellers are con artists and need to be put out of business.

Late last year we were informed by Ebay that these sellers we stealing our EXACT images and text from our web site, and using in their auctions. They did not change one word and even claimed to be using our ozone patent.

We had over 200 of their auctions removed because of this plagiarism.

They claim specifications of 240 mg/hr for this machine. We bought a few of theses machines, and sent them back to the manufacturer for positive identification. We then were able to confirm that the specifications that these sellers list on their auctions are false. As the manufacture has informed us the ozone output is only 1.98 mghr, less than 100 times less than advertised.

Even today much of the text in their auctions has been plagiarized from other web sites.

Unfortunately Ebay makes no specific claims for any products sold in their auctions, nor do they do verify the items sold. Even though we have proven to Ebay these items are being sold with fraudulent specifications they have told us there is nothing they can do unless they are flooded with fraud complaints by the buyers of these products.

This is why we appeal to any buyers of this product, ALL of which have been defrauded because what they bought is not what they got, to complain and file fraud charges with Ebay against these sellers. It will take your help, the defrauded Ebay buyer, to put these people out of business.

Soon after we identified this fraud we received many letters from defrauded buyers.

The Renew Air Purifier is a FIRE HAZZARD! We have been recieved over 20 letters that claim the Renew air purifier is a fire hazzard! It seems as though many of the units have either burned up, or emited a strong burning odor after only a few hours of operation. We were curious about these claims so we bought a few Renew units to test for ourselves. Two out of the three units we bought for testing began to emit a very strong burning odor within the first 12 hours of operation. When we opened the unit some of the electronic components were indeed very hot. We now feel this concern must be addressed since one of these units could burn down someones home. Aside from our findings we have included a few quotes from letters from Renew customers who have experienced the same burning problems with the units. "That darn thing almost burned my house down!  Here are the actual pictures!" "The unit started to smoke like a chimney!" "It set off the fire alarm in my entire apartment building. I was so embarrased.      "The ReNew Air 3 in 1 Air Purifier is the one I got my money back for because it caught fire!" Here are some pictures recently sent to us by a buyer of this product.
