Airocide: Air Purifier Destroys Airborne Pathogens with NASA Technology

Airocide-Air-Purifier-Review

Airocide is a purification system that allows consumers to breathe cleaner air than the average purifying unit. The technology is the result of work that NASA performed to keep astronauts protected by limiting exposure to toxins.

What is Airocide?

As COVID-19 spreads like an airborne virus, the attention to how clean the air can be and how the average individual can purify the air around them is a constant conversation. The debate on using face masks continues, but air purifiers may be a better way to keep a home clean of the particles that can cause illness. Who knew that the solution would come from NASA?

Proclaiming the brand to be “The Clear Air Revolution” on the official website, the creators behind Airocide originally developed it as a way to help astronauts eat better. Though these individuals grow and cultivate produce in their journeys, cutting the fruit exposes the astronauts to Ethylene, “a harmful VOC.” The use of Airocide helped to clean the air and eliminate that toxin from it, leaving astronauts at a significantly reduced risk.

Now, by making the Airocide device available to the average consumer, cleaning the air from toxins can happen in the home or at an office. While most people are not exposed to the same toxins as space, the filtering process that occurs with Airocide is capable of eliminating toxins and even mold from the air, leaving anyone with more natural breathing and a lowered risk of disease.

Though there are many types of air purifiers offered online, the performance of Airocide is what makes it so appealing to the average consumer. Most filters on the market today can capture particles as small as 0.3 microns, which seems relatively small. However, many bacteria, mold spores, and other toxic particles can be as little as 0.2 microns, which means that there’s a lot of these microorganisms still in the air. Airocide can capture particles as small as 0.1 microns, which leaves consumers protected much better.

How Does It Work?

The reason that Airocide is effective is due to more than just a high-quality filter. As the fan pulls air into it, it slowly goes across tubes that have been coated with a catalyst, which the creators call Photocatalytic Oxidation. It doesn’t create any harmful byproducts, as it has been approved for use on the International Space Station.

With this use of this tech, the company has even been given an Edison award, boasting that their products work better than HEPA filters by eliminating the contaminants (instead of trapping them).

Buying An Airocide Purifier

When consumers visit the official website for the Airocide purifier, they have three different models to choose from – APS-200, APS-200 PM 2.5, and APS-1000.

APS-200 is the first product that Airocide released, available for $899.00.

APS-200 PM 2.5 is the next step up, available for $1,049.00. However, with the spread of the current pandemic, the website states that the product may be on pre-order. Shipments of this purifier won’t go out until the end of July 2020.

The most expensive purifier from Airocide – APS-1000 – costs $2,499.00, offering a pre-filter. The device attaches directly to the wall, and the creators supply all of the necessary pieces for installing it. Like the APS-200 PM 2.5, this item is also on pre-order, and consumers will be able to deliver by August 19th.

Due to the tech advancements in this purifier, anyone can add more protection at checkout for one, two, or three years.

Airocide does stand by their customers, giving them a full 60 days to try out the product. They will even cover the cost of shipping if the customer isn't satisfied. Its also backed by a five-year limited warranty.

Final Thoughts

Airocide developed this product with the same purification performance as what astronauts get in space. The purifiers are rather expensive for the average budget, but their performance is much higher than the typical purifier on the market. With photocatalytic oxidation, the device recirculates air after it has been purified, which is incredibly necessary for commercial-style buildings.
