Remember the ONLY
way to compare an ozone generators or air purifiers power
is by the output
in milligrams per hour.
Square footage
ratings by other manufacturers are meaningless
because they
do not address the factor of room contamination!
It is the total
ozone output in milligrams per hour that counts!

Air-Zone®
ozone
generators help eliminate odors
by attacking them at the source.

Air-Zone®
Super
7000 has many useful features including
a countdown timer,
a burst timer
to vary the amount of ozone for air purification, and a variable
fan speed.
Each of the three
United States Patented ozone elements can be turned on or off as needed
to vary the overall ozone output.
The countdown
timer can be set to run the unit from 10 to 480 minutes (8 Hours).
It can also be
set to run for a continuos mode.
There are three
fan speeds and a burst timer to vary the amount of ozone being produced.
The burst timer
controls the ozone output from 2, 5, 10, 20, 30 ,40 50 or 60 seconds per
minute (continuous).
These control
options give the Air-Zone®
Super
7000 an unprecedented level of
operational use.
The versatility
of these variables gives the user great control to meet the level of contamination,
i.e., the number of smokers and the size of the room that the Air-Zone®
Super
7000 must handle.
The comprehensive
owners manual teaches the user how to operate this unit in 5 minutes or
less. |
|
|
| The Air-Zone®
Super
7000 also has tremendous ozone
power to give your basement or other large infected rooms
high
ozone shock treatments to kill mold and to destroy strong odors.
By blasting out
unoccupied rooms, bacteria, mold, and serious odors can be destroyed.
By using the countdown
timer the user can set the unit on full power to give a serious
high
ozone shock treatment that will sanitize rooms of bacteria, mold, and
odors.
Mold and bacteria
can be safely killed by blasting out unoccupied rooms with high levels
of ozone. |

What
makes the Air-Zone®
Super 7000 so unique?
| The
Air-Zone®
Super
7000 features THREE
powerful United States Patented,
24 carat gold plated, corona discharge ozone elements and THREE
separate power transformers.
Air-Zone's®
patented
ozone elements are NOT
just the weak UV
lamps that most manufacturers use.
Our patented
ozone elements are hundreds of times stronger than ANY
UV
lamp made.
These second generation
United States Patented ozone elements from Air-Zone®
don't
produce any Nitrogen Oxides.
These elements
should last 5 years.
We
do not use MICA
ozone plates in our ozone generators.
MICA
is the cheapest and worst material to use in an ozone plate.
MICA
easily breaks, flakes apart, burns, and shorts out the generator.
Stay far away
from any ozone generator using a MICA
ozone
plate.
Click
Here to learn why our US patented ozone elements are far superior than
"old style" mica ozone plates.
Old style ozone
"plates" consist of flimsy easily corroded steel screens and delicate,
thin pieces of glass or mica which must constantly be arranged in perfect
alignment or the won't put out their rated output. Their life span is also
notoriously short. |
|
|
Square
Footage Ratings
Most other ozone
generators list their output by square footage, not by the total output
of ozone in milligrams per hour. But what if one company decides 300 mg/hr
will cover 1000 square feet and another company decides that 500 mg/hr
is needed to cover the same 1000 square feet?
That's the way
it is in the air purification business, there are few standards which can
be agreed upon.
In that sense
a square footage rating of an in duct ozone generator is meaningless.
What is the level
of contamination of the room to be treated?
What is the standard
by which they are giving this rating? How can you truly compare one
machine to another if both companies can't agree upon a square footage
standard?
That's why comparing
the total ozone output in milligrams per hour, mg/hr, is what will truly
let you compare one ozone machine to another.
Because there
are no standards for square footage ratings for ozone generators, the ONLY
number that means ANYTHING
for comparison is the actual total ozone output as rated by mg/hr.
No other standard
is viable. Even ppm ratings do not tell you the actual ozone output of
a machine in the way that a mg/hr output rating does.
That's not to
say that square footage ratings for in duct ozone generators should not
be given.
You only want
so much ozone in the air that is needed for air purification purposes.
But to compare one ozone generator to another, the only REAL
standard is the total ozone output listed in milligrams per hour.
If a company does
not provide an ozone output for its machine in mg/hr there is NO
WAY to compare it to another ozone machine.
It's that simple.
Square footage
ratings for air purification levels of ozone MUST be taken into proper
context.
The level of ozone
you need to freshen the air in a relatively clean 2000 sq.ft. home, or
a home with just one smoker is COMPLETELY
different than the level of ozone needed to combat cigarette smoke in the
same sized night club with 20, or 30 people in it smoking at the same time.
That's just common
sense.
The contamination
level, the number of smokers, or the seriousness of the odor problem MUST
be taken into account when deciding how much ozone to use for a certain
square footage rating.
This gets back
to the original point that a single square footage rating for an in duct
ozone generator is COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS!
Because that square footage rating does not address the issue of the overall
contamination level. The contamination level in the room MUST
be
taken into account for a square footage rating to have ANY
validity.
When rating one
in duct ozone generator, or any type of ozone generator to another the
ONLY
real criteria
MUST
be the total output listed in milligrams per hour.
If
another brand of in duct ozone generator does not list the total output
in milligrams per hour there is NO WAY
to compare that to another type of in duct ozone machine.
The number 2000
in the name of our in duct ozone generator does not mean it is rated for
2000 square feet like it does for competitors models.
If a competitors
model has a number like the In-duct 10000 that does not mean it is a 10,000
mg/hr unit. Nor may it mean that is is suitable for 10,000 square
feet. The fact is that a number associated to an ozone machine can mean
ANYTHING.
The Air-Zone®
Super
7000 is named after its true ozone output, 7000 milligrams
per hour.
There is no telling what another companies
product number means in its name. We know of one company that has
a model called the OZ-2000 that only puts out 750 mg/hr of ozone!
Be sure and ask about an ozone machines
true ozone in milligrams per hour output.
Be sure to compare
ozone generators apples to apples, not apples to oranges. The total ozone
output in milligrams per hour is the ONLY
way you can compare any kind of ozone generator to another.
How
does Ozone work?
Air-Zone®
ozone
generators help eliminate odors
by attacking them at the source.
As shown in the
diagram above, simple Oxygen molecules known as O2, can be turned into
Ozone, O3, by the introduction of the high voltage electrical charge given
by an Air-Zone®
Ozone
Generator.
Ozone is considered
an unstable gas, meaning it cannot exist for more than a very short time.
Very soon after
it is formed, nature forces the third oxygen atom of Ozone to break free,
and oxidize bacteria, viruses and pollutants.
Bacteria, viruses,
and mold are all destroyed by this process.
All that remains
after reactions with ozone are the harmless compounds of pure oxygen (O2),
carbon dioxide (CO2), and hydrogen (H2).
The introduction
of low levels of ozone leads to cleaner air to breathe.
Ozone generators
with lower ozone outputs not only take longer to get the job done, they
can't do the task as well as the Air-Zone®
Super
7000.

What
the Air-Zone®
Super
7000
is
designed to do.
The
Air-Zone®
Super 7000 is designed
to help purify the air
in restaurants and bars of cigarette and cigar smoke as well as other odors.
It
is meant to be used as a Large Room
air purifier, for single rooms 1,600 square
feet or larger, and not as a typical air purifier
in the smaller sized rooms of a standard home.
The
AirZone®
Super 7000 can be
used in smaller rooms such as bars and restaurants if they contain a high
level of contamination such as 8 smokers or more.
It
can also be used to shock
treat large rooms and basements, when
they are unoccupied to kill mold and it's
odors. |
|

What
the Air-Zone®
Super
7000 is
NOT
designed to do.
The
Air-Zone®
Super 7000 is
NOT
designed to be a home air purifier.
| The
AirZone®
Super 7000 ozone
generator is far too powerful to be put inside the average living room
to purify the air.
For
air
purification in home situations we recommend the XT-400,
the XT-800, or the
Air-Duct
2000.
The
Air-Zone®
Super
7000 is meant for
single rooms
1,600
square feet or larger. |
|
|
Although
you may have a house that is 2,400 square feet or more, the Super
7000 machine is too powerful because your
home generally does not contain single rooms that are over 1,600 square
feet. Ozone is not going to travel through walls so you must go by
your largest open area when choosing a proper sized ozone machine.
To
treat an entire house at once you should use a machine such as the Air-Duct
2000 which will distribute ozone all throughout your home.
For
whole house air purification the Air-Duct
2000 is the perfect unit. |
|
|
Even
though it has a variable output, we strongly
discourage trying to use the Air-Zone®
Super
7000 as a regular
home air purifier.
It's
output is just to powerful for the average home.
We
have tested this in normal homes and have determined it simply has too
much ozone output to be a normal home air purifier. It also has a strong
fan to push air across open areas. In a bar or a restaurant the fan noise
would not be a problem but in a small home it might be considered too loud.
However
it can be used in a large open basement to do High
Ozone Shock Treatments to kill
mold and it's odors when that area is unoccupied.

Ozone
Generator Power Transformers.
The heart of
any ozone generator is it's power transformer. It is the electrical
component that produces the high voltage that is needed make the ozone.
That's why it's selection, and construction, is of the utmost importance.
It can be the most costly part in any ozone machine.
Air-Zone®
Super
7000 as a uses THREE
separate power transformers, one for each one of it's ozone elements.
Be sure to avoid
those ozone generators that are "easily and inexpensively upgraded"
by the addition
of more ozone "plates".
Air-Zone®
uses
completely sealed, high voltage transformers.
Competitors use
"off the rack", open iron core transformers. The exposed iron can quickly
rust and deteriorate. These types of transformers are not specifically
designed for use in an ozone generator, and have a hard time maintaining
a long life span in this type of machine.
Why "upgradable"
ozone generators which are listed at 2600 mg/hr,
& 3600 mg/hr
are poorly designed.
|
Beware
of "Upgradable Ozone Generators"
Simply adding
ozone plates to increase the ozone output, which many ozone generator manufacturers
do, puts a dangerous extra load on the power transformers.
This fact is made
very clear that when they add 2 extra ozone plates to a one plate 1000
mg/hr ozone generator that the total ozone output is only 2600
mg/hr and NOT the 3000
mg/hr it should be.
If the transformer
was properly sized the ozone output would equal 3000
mg/hr, but that fact that the resulting output is only 2600
mg/hr is absolute evidence that the transformer is not sized large enough
to handle the extra load of the extra ozone plates.
Since the 3000
mg/hr ozone output was NOT
achieved, it can only be concluded that the missing 400 mg/hr of ozone
was lost because the transformer was not able
to handle the extra load of the extra ozone plates.
This extra load
on the transformer causes it to get very hot, and it is prone to blow out.
Note that some
1000 mg/hr ozone generators try to add up to four extra ozone "plates"
but that the total ozone output ONLY reaches the 3600
mg/hr level, NOT
the expected 5000
mg/hr.
Trying to double
or triple the power of an ozone generator by simply adding more ozone plates
without adding extra power transformers is a cheap, and unsafe, way of
trying to increase the ozone output.
Air-Zone®
ONLY increases ozone outputs by adding extra ozone elements, AND
by properly adding extra power transformers also. That's why our models
with higher ozone output have EVEN
ozone output numbers like 2000, 4000, or 6000
mg.hr instead of an erratically
designed unit that outputs 1000,
2600,
3400,
or 3600 mg/hr.
ONLY
a poorly designed ozone generator would try to increase the ozone output
by simply adding extra ozone plates and not by adding the proper amount
of power transformers.
Click
Here to learn more about upgradable
ozone generators. and power transformers.
Upgradable ozone
generators burn out quickly.
They won't last,
and are prone to fail.
Air-Zone®
are
simply more stable ozone generators than most other brands. Electronic
protection circuits and fuses prevent our internal components from overload
& burnout.
Be sure and buy
a long lasting, properly designed ozone generator like an Air-Zone®.
Air-Zone®
not
only uses multiple transformers in our higher powered units to help balance
the load, they also use our U.S. patented ozone elements which do not have
components in them that can move or shift out of alignment.
There is no way
for them to short out as standard ozone plates can and blow out the transformers.
See the difference
between our ozone elements and standard ozone plates here:
Air-Zone's
patented ozone elements VS. old style ozone "plates".
